Job Location: Based either in the Aukera offices in London or Edinburgh or hybrid/ remote (UK)

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in renewable energy development. You’ll be working with a busy development team on multiple wind, solar and battery storage projects, and supporting them at every part of the development process, whether identifying potential land, analysing constraints, managing planning documentation or interacting with local communities.

SKILLS

  • Interest in renewable energy and transition to net zero
  • Strong analytical skills
  • able to proof read a range of documents and identify key information
  • Highly IT literate/tech savvy and capable of picking up new IT systems easily
  • Good communication skills - confident asking questions, and a good listener
  • Self motivated and a keen learner, inquisitive
  • Good time management skills, able to prioritise tasks and escalate where necessary

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience using GIS Systems, preferably the ArcGIS suite – including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Field Maps
  • Experience using MS Office software including excel, word and powerpoint.
  • Experience using the Land Registry portals (desirable)
  • A degree in Geography, Renewable Energy or Environmental Studies would be beneficial

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the following tasks in the team:-

  • Use GIS software and tools to input, manipulate, analyse, and present geographical data
  • Have the ability to create, manage and update large geospatial databases
  • Review and interpret maps, aerial photographs, survey reports, and other geographical or topographic data.
  • Carry out land referencing tasks including title deed plans and boundaries interpretation
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and updating land use databases
  • Produce detailed option and lease plan drawings preparation for legal agreements under supervision and approval of the senior legal team
  • Supporting the development process up to ready-to- build authorisations for PV, BESS and wind projects
  • work across multiple projects supporting heavily at all stages of development
