Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
The primary role of the Accounting and Development Associate is to provide accounting support to the Office Manager and administrative support to the Development Coordinator and Executive Director to help achieve the organization s goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Associates or Bachelors Level Degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting
Preferred:
- 1-3 years experience preferred
- Experience working in a non-profit or social service organization a plus
- Proven experience with Quick Books and knowledge of Donor Perfect Software or similar database software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint & Publisher
- Knowledge of accounting principles and billing procedures
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:
- Part Time Day
- 30 hours weekly
Responsibilities:
- All company related bookkeeping via Quick Books software which includes budgets, billing, receivables, accounts payable, checks, bank reconciliations and deposits
- Work closely with Office Manager on all aspects of monthly closings; provides back up assistance in absence of Office Manager
- Manage and prepare all program billing; provide follow up/collection assistance for outstanding receivables to Office Manager,
- Be able to generate all requested reports as related to program and financials
- Prepare and make daily/weekly bank deposits
- Process company credit card donations
- Responsible for ordering office/building supplies while maintaining inventory at building
- Work on special projects as requested
Development and Administrative
- Donor Perfect data entry and reconciliation to company quick books reports
- Manage and maintain/revise organization s donor mailing lists, in-kind contacts and donation lists
- Assist and prepare tribute cards/letters and company thank you letters
- Assist with solicitation and packaging of in-kind donations
- Assist with Mailings
- Organize and prepare gift bags for OP fundraising events
- File/maintain/organize OP event binders
- Prepare reports as related to fundraising events
- Assist with grants management and specific tasks from Executive Director
