Description:
The Development Coordinator works closely with the Area Director in Kittitas County and other members within the Kittitas County departmentsand the SKKC Resource Development team. Modeling our core values to lead with service, respect all people, build community, and deliver results, this role provides support in funding and donor development, events, marketing, and volunteers. Duties will include administrative support, data and list management, reporting, research, and any necessary ad hoc projects. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for the office, handling inquiries via phone, email, and social media channels. It includes managing and coordinating community volunteer groups by scheduling, overseeing event-day logistics, and ensuring timely follow-up with necessary deliverables. On-site support is also provided during build days or home repair projects as needed. Additionally, the position oversees the Volunteer Hub account to support new construction and repair programs, which includes conducting volunteer surveys, gathering feedback, capturing photos, and promoting opportunities for donations and committee involvement.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Execute proper telephone and electronic mail etiquette and protocol.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, fundraising and volunteer databases, and internet research
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently, problem solve, and actively seek assistance when needed
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational, communication (oral and written), and time management skills
- Collaborate in a team setting
Language Skills: Ability to effectively represent the affiliate within the organization and to external partners, volunteers, and businesses. Ability to respond to common inquiries from agencies, or the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management and the public.
Math Skills: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and math.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, software, spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, and email. Proficiency with computer usage, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
