JOB DESCRIPTION

At Schreder, the Lifecycle team is dedicated to the execution of the existing products portfolio upgrade for a specific lighting segment, in line with agreed roadmap for upgrades and new options respecting timeline and cost savings, to stay competitive into the market.
This lifecycle execution for a dedicated product portfolio needs to be fully aligned and agreed with supply chain in the relevant factories (stock management, configurator updates).

As a Development Engineer, you will be the project owner in terms of product update, configuration, validation and implementation into the plant.

  • Product Update
  • Managing the update into SolidWorks
  • Understanding of the options available and needed
  • Understanding of the product structure (mechanical and electromechanical)
  • Proposing improvements
  • Identifying cost saving both on design and materials
  • Product configuration
  • Managing the configuration of the product
  • Understanding internal and external rule of configuration
  • Identifying and proposing improvements in PLM for the team
  • Being a problem solving person
  • Project Management
  • Following the project and ensuring the delivery date will be respected
  • Asking the different departments support in terms of prototyping, validation and implementation into the plant
  • Ensuring a commitment of all the departments on the planning announce

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering Master Degree (mechanical, electromechanical, …)
  • Global experience in R&D and/or production manufacturing environment (5-7 years)
  • Proven knowledge in using and configuring SolidWorks
  • Knowledge and comprehension of PLM (Bluestar is a plus)
  • Language: French and English mandatory (B2). Other languages are a plus (Spanish)
  • Promote collaboration
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks
  • Good communication skill
  • Be responsive and accurate
