Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Lead for our Product Knowledge team. This role is ideal for an experienced software developer with a background in developing and delivering SaaS services, specifically using a Java backend and ExtJS frontend. Experience in Knowledge Management Software is a plus. You will take over the leadership responsibility for a highly skilled team of software developers.

• You ensure that your teams work on the development of our software according to modern software engineering principles such as test-driven development, clean code and modularisation.
• You manage team resources, including recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
• Together with the Product Lead, you ensure that non-functional requirements are taken into account in the product vision and ensure that these are implemented and adhered to.
• With your colleagues from the Operations team, you constantly improve the continuous deployment process and foster collaboration between development and operations.
• You promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

What you have to offer

• Proven experience in developing and delivering SaaS services.
• Experience in software development (either frontend or backend) with a focus on Java or ExtJS.
• Experience in Knowledge Management Software is beneficial.
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective German and English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to Hamburg, Germany.
