We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to join team of seasoned professionals and drive our projects in both the Lower Mainland and Okanagan to new heights.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate development, with a particular focus on high-rise, commercial, residential and industrial projects. Construction experience is highly beneficial for this role. The Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire development process, from concept through completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on highrise, commercial, residential and industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of the construction process and experience working closely with construction teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex development projects.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial modeling, and cost control.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development process for highrise, commercial, residential and industrial projects, from initial concept through to completion.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work closely with our Senior Financial Analyst to create financial models.
  • Oversee the planning and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report regularly on project progress, addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise.
  • Always be looking for innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging creative problem-solving and thinking beyond conventional boundaries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and community members.
