KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in setting out and measurements.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues on-site and provide effective solutions.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong planning and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and the use of surveying equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Background in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field
  • Previous experience in a related field advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with Microsoft Project planning software
  • Project appraisal software, e.g. Argus/Estate Master
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Detail orientated and highly organised
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and in the development of design solutions
  • Self-motivated and ambitious

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all of the Company’s affairs in connection with the sourcing, planning, design, construction, selling and completion of Company’s development schemes. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile projects and to be a part of a dynamic team delivering top-quality developments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Conducting property and project specific research and due diligence
  • Preparation of development appraisals and cashflows
  • Reviewing design drawings and challenging strategies
  • Managing and co-ordination of planning applications
  • Assisting with professional appointment process and management design teams
  • Oversee the co-ordination of design information including drawings and specifications
  • Oversee all statutory approvals for projects
  • Management of project stakeholders including third parties such as local authorities
  • Assisting with drafting and administration of build contracts and other legal documents
  • Assisting with drafting and implementation of development plan
  • Assisting development manager with project reporting and programming
  • Managing project funding applications and costs
  • Assisting the company in bringing in new systems and practices to improve productivity, profitability, quality, and overall performance
  • Assisting with risk planning and management
