Description:

PERMANENT | FULL TIME | REMOTE

SymPro, a division of Constellation Software Inc., is seeking an experienced Development Manager with a passion for finding innovative solutions to create modern SaaS products. They will oversee the whole development cycle of SymPro’s suite of treasury solutions, while also contributing to the designing and coding of the products. This role will be an integral part of the leadership team in helping drive strategy and future growth.
SymPro provides integrated solutions to automate and simplify core investment, debt, and cash accounting operations. Our solutions help hundreds of public sector agencies increase accuracy and reliability in financial reporting and reduce manual effort.
SymPro headquarters are in Lafayette, CA, but the ideal candidate can work remotely.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a key .NET C# developer on enterprise projects (.NET Core/.NET 5.0+ experience).
  • Experience with both client/server systems and architecture as well as web-based applications.
  • Experience in leading development projects with both internal and external teams.
  • Working Knowledge of Azure App Services and Azure SQL for hosted products.
  • Experience as a full stack developer with solid understanding of OOP design patterns and their implementation.
  • Knowledge of fixed income investments or bonds a plus.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructures and design patterns including REST APIs.
  • Source Control (Azure DevOps, git) or other is preferred.
  • Experience in developing products related to loan portfolio, accounting, and financial solutions.
  • Experience in migrating legacy solutions to other platforms like .Net.
  • Experience in writing and understanding stored procedures, Functions, Triggers and parsing JSON and XML
  • Technical Writing.
  • Experience supporting highly available systems and scaling consumer-facing applications.
  • Experience in SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, ETL, SSIS, SSRS.

Responsibilities:

  • Become proficient in the domain and architecture of all SymPro products.
  • Manage internal and external development groups.
  • Provide development team with specifications and direction for implementing new modules or system functionality, specifically in the areas of user interface, user experience, optimization of queries, process architecture, and development of best practices.
  • Implement standardization across products to facilitate ongoing maintenance and transferability.
  • Direct Product Manager in the design and deployment of new modules, add-ons, or functionality.
  • Manage development resources to create realistic project timelines and launch dates employing agile methodologies to ensure best use of resources.
  • Support Product Managers and Business Development group by contributing technical knowledge needed for RFP responses, hosting quotations, and other potential technical business inquiries.
  • Contribute to development projects by assisting with coding, architecting, and other basic development functions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation on development processes and procedures, product architecture, and other parts of development cycle.
  • Collaborate with the SymPro management team to drive Business Unit direction and growth.
