We are currently looking for a new member for the Development & Engineering Services team to join us in the position of Development Manager.
Working Place: Sonae Sierra’s Central Offices in Lisbon

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture or any related field
  • 10 to 15 years of previous experience, preferably in the development/construction of Shopping Centres or other large retail, office, residential or mixed-used projects
  • Knowledge of BIM Methodology
  • Fluent in English (at least B2 is mandatory)
  • Well-developed business and financial analysis skills
  • Strong customer and business awareness
  • Results oriented and team worker

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and closely monitor the new developments, refurbishments and expansions from conception to completion;
  • Prepare the overall budget of the project during the viability-assessment phase, estimating the necessary investment totals;
  • Prepare the project’s time schedule for the viability study;
  • Develop and prepare monthly estimate cost projections;
  • Coordinate the project team in preparing the technical design of the project;
  • Study alternatives and propose the best solutions to guarantee that the quality-cost ratio is optimized and that the job completion timeline is reduced;
  • Supervise the Technical Management team not only in organizing processes but also in launching project and contracting bids;
  • Folow up on the construction, in collaboration with the Technical Management team, focusing on the fulfilment of the conditions as defined by the contract;
  • Lead, coordinate and closely monitor the internal team and third-party service contracts assuring the alignment with the project.;
  • Follow up and coordinate the legal issues of the projects (leasing/constructions);
