Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic development officer to join our team at the IGC head office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the President and the National Executive in managing the strategic priorities of the IGC. They will identify and secure new income streams, and support the officers of the IGC.
This role requires a blend of strategic financial planning, relationship-building skills and management skills.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Management:
- Support the IGC in compliance with SORP regulations.
- Ensure that requirements of the Charity Regulator are communicated clearly to the National Executive and President. Build on and develop systems to ensure strong corporate governance in compliance with the Charity Regulator and Companies Act.
- Take on the role of Company Secretary and all it’s related functions.
- Support the National Treasurer, Finance Subcommittee and Accounts team with Strategic Financial Planning.
- Advise and collaboratively develop a strategic financial plan for the IGC and its branches.
- Support the President and accounts administrator with the completion and submission of funding applications.
- Identify and apply for relevant grants and funding.
- Review and identify relevant financial policies necessary for strong corporate governance.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and the IGC’s constitution and charitable status.
- Advise on and help prepare the annual budget. Advise on the establishment of processes to facilitate compliance.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the President and National Executive.
- Income Generation:
- Identify and secure alternative revenue streams for the IGC, including but not limited to career fairs, publications, and strategic partnerships.
- Support officers of the IGC in the development of strategic financial plans at a National and Branch level, to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation.
- Identify and engage potential sponsors and partners to fund various IGC activities and roles.
- Strategic Management and Public Relations:
- Implement the strategic priorities of the IGC.
- Collaborate with the President and National Executive to develop and execute short and medium-term work agendas.
- Ensure alignment of organisational activities with the IGC’s mission and objectives.
- Support the officers of the IGC in the development and implementation of Public Relation strategy to promote the IGC.
- Manage relationships with sponsors.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the development of the IGC Member Diary. Selling advertising space and liaising with printers and fulfilment.
- Promotion and selling of advertising space in Guideline and all IGC publications.
- Collaborate and support the organisation and execution of the annual conference.
- Communicate effectively with IGC branches and members to ensure consistent and transparent information flow.
- Coordinate and support the effective running of the Leaving Certificate Helpline.

Pay: €60,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
