ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a fundraising or relationship management role with a proven track record of success
- Demonstrated prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition experience
- Demonstrated experience drafting donor reports and communications
- Experience working with volunteers, researchers or clinicians
- Proven ability to motivate others, i.e. volunteers, team members, donors
- Evidence of leadership and initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail and, creativity
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in complex multi-stakeholder environments such as education and healthcare, working with academics and physicians whose vision for changing the world demands both excellence and results
- Highly developed computer skills working with MS Office; databases; and content management systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced and results oriented environment
- Strong team player who values collaboration
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong organizational, analytical and relationship building skills

Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Developing and managing a portfolio of donors and projects below the $49,999 level by engaging in prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition
- Working with volunteers and donors on peer to peer and tribute giving campaigns
- Building successful relationships with prospective and current donors that lead to philanthropic investment
- Aligning institutional priorities with donor interests and developing strategies that ensure a strong and sustainable donor pipeline
- Developing tailored and compelling fundraising opportunities that support institutional priorities
- Building strong relationships within the Advancement team and across the university, and contributing to a culture of collegiality and collaboration
- Reviewing and managing large segments of data to build, maintain and segment portfolio
- Writing briefing notes, solicitation plans and call reports to track donor interaction and tracking and assessing progress towards goals by producing complex donor reports, tracking and monitoring donations received against donations pledged and verifying accuracy and completeness of information
