Summary:
New Hampshire Public Radio is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Development Support Specialist to join our Development team. This role is crucial for the maintenance of our CRM and processes that are essential for fostering positive relationships with NHPR’s membership and donors. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of our Fundraising Systems Manager to ensure that our CRM is accurate, accessible and supports our fundraising efforts.
New Hampshire Public Radio is an independent and trusted source for news and information, and the state’s largest radio news service. Murrow Awards for overall excellence from 2015 through 2023 and a finalist for the 2024 Pulitzer in Audio Journalism. We have over 23,000 member households, over 60% of which are sustaining members.
This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly), hybrid-eligible role based in Concord, NH, reporting to the Fundraising Systems Manager. The pay range for this position is $22.10 - $25.80 per hour based on experience. We also consider internal equity, among other factors, when deciding compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, update and maintain donor and gift records according to policy, ensuring all donor information is correctly recorded in the database.
  • Address and resolve all inquiries and needs from members and donors via phone, email, and in-person, including billing inquiries, membership benefits, and account updates.
  • Execute the distribution of donor premiums and thank-you letters.
  • Manage mail returns and related administrative tasks.
  • Handle credit card processing for donations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Fundraising Systems Manager and other staff to ensure data accuracy, accessibility and integrity.
  • Conduct outreach to donors to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
  • Collect and report member feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance member satisfaction.
  • Perform data hygiene tasks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of membership data.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office Suite. Raiser’s Edge experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and technical fluency required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently as needed.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and donor relations best practices is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalency credential. Some college or equivalent work experience is a plus.
