- Responsible for working under cGMP and relevant Health and Safety procedures within the laboratory.
- Responsible for liaising with analysts to support in the preparation of required solutions for use in scheduled analysis, the preparation and weighing of blend jars, assisting in the set-up of analytical equipment ready for analyst use and any other required analyst support tasks identified within the job holders capabilities.
- Liaising with analysts to discard solutions prepared, assist in general housekeeping of department and the review and replacement of laboratory consumables within the department.
- General system clean down and flushing of HPLC’s/ ULPLC’s and columns after use.
- Logging in of HPLC/UPLC/GC columns and issuing of column history sheets.
- To be able to plan and prioritise work load so that analytical testing runs smoothly, by feeding into analysts the solutions prepared when required and supporting analysts in day to day workload as required.
- To ensure that all personal lead times are complied with, subject to the absence of attenuating circumstances.
- Work towards basic maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment such as Karl Fischer, pH meters and balances for department use.
- Be able to be flexible and able to change priorities quickly to suit testing and analyst requirements.
- Good communications skills to work with multiple analysts.
- To perform routine laboratory procedures right first time with minimal personal OOS results.
- To assist in Continuous improvement project work within the team, as required.
- To ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to with respect to personal duties and the duties of others.
- To undertake other laboratory and business related tasks as and when required to meet department and business needs and within the scope of the jobholder’s capabilities and responsibilities.
