    About the Role
    Are you passionate about innovation and creating exceptional food products? We’re seeking an experienced Development Technologist to join our dynamic and collaborative R&D team in Arndell Park. Reporting to the NPD team Lead, you will play a key role in driving the creation of new meat products from concept to commercialisation.
    This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you’ll lead production trials, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure packaging complies with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process, using our stage gate model (concept, development, and commercialisation).
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and execution
  • Plan and lead R&D production trials, analysing and interpreting results to guide product improvements
  • Work with external marketing and trend experts to identify emerging food trends and incorporate them into product development
  • Partner with ingredient and packaging suppliers to source the best solutions for new products
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive documentation for customer sample submissions
  • Contribute to process design layouts for new products as part of a multi-functional team
  • Manage R&D systems, ensuring data and information accuracy and completeness
  • Develop new products that align with both internal and external commercial requirements

About You
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for food innovation and product development. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love working collaboratively, and have a drive to succeed, we’d love to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in product development within the food manufacturing industry
  • A tertiary qualification in Food Science or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Meat industry experience is a bonus but not essential

You’ll also bring exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to this exciting role.
