Responsibilities/Qualifications:

JOB SUMMARY:

• Subject Matter Expert on DevOps and Infrastructure focused on cloud with some on-premise
• Responsible for Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD Pipelines, and Configuration Management
• Engage, influence, and evangelize DevOps practices with development, operational, and product groups to align technology service/solution delivery
• Provide expertise on containerization to assist development teams
• Continuous improvement around automation tools and processes
• Work with the Security Team to assist with mitigations and implementing SecOps strategies
• Manage multiple concurrent tasks, both administrative and project based
• Work with development, operations, and network teams to resolve problems during project planning and implementation phases
• Create and maintain documentation
• Review high level documents and functional requirement documents after product implementation to resolve any problems
• Will be important to develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of all products and services.
• Assess performance and provide/develop ideas for improvement of systems and products

EDUCATION:

• Degree from an accredited college in computer science, MIS or related field required
• Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years experience working in DevOps
• 3-5 years of SRE/DevOps experience preferred

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

Based on departmental need, the following may be required:

• Comprehensive understanding of Linux
• Comprehensive understanding of a Cloud Provider (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloudformation, Bicep)
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Salt)
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with scripting (bash, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
• Experience with Networking
