DEVEX PRODUCT MANAGER

Our team in Amsterdam currently has an opening for a DevEx Product Manager
We are looking for experienced Product Owner with focus on Developer Experience to join our Cloud Center of Excellence and drive adoption of the Agile and CI/CD tooling to accelerate innovation in Clouds. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity, satisfaction, and success of our developer community. You will focus on creating and optimizing tools, processes, and resources to improve the overall developer experience with our products and platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with developers, understand their needs, and shape their journey toward building innovative solutions.

YOUR PROFILE

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tech Lead or Technical Product Owner for the technical platform teams, ideally around focused on development or CI/CD
• Strong understanding of security concepts and needs in SDLC
• Experience implementing and managing SaaS and OSS products in enterprise environments
• Demonstrated experience in implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automation. Strong familiarity with version control, branching, merging, and pull requests. Experience in managing repositories, CI/CD pipelines with GitLab runners, and collaboration features within GitLab. Knowledge of GitLab’s developer-centric features and best practices for utilizing GitLab in software development workflows
• Experience with ArgoCD or similar is a plus
• Experience with Snyk’s suite of products and services. Familiarity with Snyk’s integrations with popular development tools and platforms is highly desirable
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, and Confluence. Experience in leading teams that configure these tools to facilitate collaboration. Knowledge of best practices for integrating Atlassian tools into developer workflows and leveraging their features to enhance the developer experience
• Experience with running CI/CD and similar capabilities on AWS, and K8S is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand and address developer pain points effectively. Proactive in seeking feedback and finding innovative solutions
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic about staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to developer experience
• Hands-on skills are prioritized for this role. At a minimal level, a deep understanding of technical concepts and solutions is required

• Lead and inspire a team of talented Developer experience engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Drive the strategic vision for Development experience practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals to streamline the development process and improve productivity for developers
• Oversee the implementation of SaaS and OSS tools and solutions, automation, and CI/CD pipelines to enhance operational efficiency
• Ensure the highest standards of security, compliance, and reliability in all DevOps processes
• Proactively gather feedback from developers and stakeholders to identify pain points, opportunities for improvement, and emerging needs. Translate feedback into actionable insights for enhancing developer experience
• Guide developers in understanding software security principles and best practices
• Act as a champion for developers within the organization by representing their interests, advocating for their needs, and promoting best practices for developer experience across teams
