JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Leads and performs development of build, test and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions. Identifies and leads investigation moderately complex technical and reliability challenges of in the development and implementation process, creates and recommends process improvement solutions. Builds and integrates complex software tools to enhance the product’s reliability and scalability. Supports setting up development and production environments, deployment of application devices. Develops best practices/methodologies for provisioning, platform scaling, configuration management, monitoring and troubleshooting.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience in API development
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD environments
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • 1+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong execution, communication and collaboration skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5 years’ experience in programming/scripting languages for automation and API development
  • Significant experience in DevOps, with a focus on migrating and modernizing legacy environments (typically 5+ years).
  • Extensive knowledge of Azure services.
  • Familiarity with API gateways, ALBs, and cloud formation templates.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience, 18 years’ related work experience, etc.). preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to modernization and cloud migration initiatives, ensuring a seamless transition to advanced Azure services.
  • Streamline and optimize CI/CD processes, automating build, test, and deployment pipelines.
  • Enhance cloud architecture, implementing best practices for scalability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance our DevOps capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and mutual support.
