KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Part of the DevOps team responsible for:
• Management of AWS environment, ensuring that systems are highly available, auto scalable, secure and operate with 99.99% uptime.
• Patch management for instances within the AWS environment.
• Management of Azure environment, ensuring that systems are highly available, auto scalable, secure and operate with 99.99% uptime.
• Change control procedures to meet PCI requirements.
• 2nd line technical support for infrastructure related issues.
• Develop, maintain & support:
• infrastructure and application deployment pipelines.
• logging, monitoring & alerting of infrastructure & applications.
• Collaborate with DevOps team members.
• Monitor our infrastructure for cost optimisation, performance, and security.
• Maintain technical documentation and procedures for infrastructure and operations processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 1-3 years DevOps experience.
• Knowledge of core AWS concepts and services.
• Knowledge of core Azure concepts and services.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
• Linux scripting skills (Linux Bash).
• Monitoring infrastructure & applications.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good technical documentation & knowledge sharing skills.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience managing AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Containerisation (Docker).
• Cloud Certification (for example AWS Certified: Developer / Solutions Architect).
• Previous SAAS architecture experience.

ClearCourse Events & Leisure provides leading sports management software to over 2000 sports clubs in the UK and overseas. Its vast customer base is predominantly comprised of golf clubs, but also includes rugby, cricket, and leisure clubs, for which it designs systems to streamline memberships, manage club competitions and process payments. Comprised of highly accomplished teams spanning multiple products and a track record of successfully onboarding new customers, supporting ecommerce and point of sale payment channels.
The platforms are built using a cloud-based architecture, with solutions developed in dotnet C# running on Azure using App Services and PHP running on AWS using auto-scaling Linux instances.
As we continue to rapidly grow our customer base, we require a DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us build & maintain our cloud-based infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both development and operations, as well as experience with a variety of DevOps tools and technologies spanning both the Azure and AWS cloud providers.
