Your Role & Responsibility

  • Managing and maintaining Linux-based systems
  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining applications on Managed Kubernetes (Helm Charts and K8s Manifest)
  • Monitor and maintain the operational health of infrastructure systems (e.g. networks, applications, databases, CI/CD pipelines, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 support issues in a timely manner. This may include system failures, slowdowns, system-wide deployment issues, and intermediate network routing issues
  • Collaborate with the Level 1 support team to handle escalations and guide them on issue resolution steps
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support & escalation management to address critical incidents and outages
  • Work closely with systems and software engineers to understand more about the system, help them understand the results and drive needed changes
  • Develop and automate standard operating procedures around common failure scenarios
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure production issues are addressed and prevent recurring incidents
  • Assist in the design and enhancement of monitoring and alerting strategies to improve the observability of the infrastructure
  • Document known issues and procedures to ensure a faster resolution in case of reoccurrences
  • Collaborate with L3 support and product development teams to solve high-complexity issues
  • Conduct post-mortem and root cause analysis for incidents in order to implement preventive measures
