Description:

Job Description: Custodia Technology is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Knutsford, Cheshire. The DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our development and production environments, ensuring seamless integration, delivery, and deployment of our software solutions. This role involves working closely with development, operations, and security teams to automate and streamline processes, enhance system reliability, and support our growing infrastructure.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of cloud services and architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

  • Experience with microservices architecture and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of network and security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance and resource utilization.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Manage and configure cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to support scalable and secure services.
  • Ensure system security, compliance, and data protection standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and best practices for internal teams.
