Description:

OUR CHALLENGE

Hey, it’s great that you’ve found us. Are you ready for a challenge? Perhaps we have just the right opportunity for you. At holi, we believe in the power of community and are dedicated to helping individuals transform their ideas into positive impacts.
Our mission is to create a new digital ecosystem, a hub that removes barriers and enables people to channel their energy into meaningful social projects. Simultaneously, we’re building the digital home for social initiatives, with the aim of collectively expanding their digital reach. We’re at the start of an exciting journey, and we’re on a mission to scale rapidly in the coming months and years. To achieve this, we need to establish the technical and organizational foundations that will make it all possible.
As a DevOps Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the continuous development and improvement of our systems. You will combine your software development skills with cloud infrastructure expertise to support and optimize our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role goes beyond traditional cloud configuration, requiring a proactive approach to automate and scale our solutions.

HOW WE WORK

At holi, our team truly values a workplace where we can openly communicate and connect, using language that includes everyone. We appreciate the different perspectives that team members bring, and we create an atmosphere where new ideas are welcome. Learning is a continuous journey, and we’re all about sharing knowledge and making decisions together. We’re a close-knit team, helping and supporting each other while keeping things simple and practical rather than seeking perfection. We have zero tolerance for toxic or egoistic behavior, as we prioritize collaboration and positivity. Our main focus is on making a positive impact and prioritizing people over profits. Additionally, we offer perks such as a weekly Yoga class and occasional “cool down” days to encourage personal development and well-being.

  • We are a remote-first company, and you can work fully remote or at our Hamburg office.
  • We organize company-wide retreats and optional meet-ups every quarter.
  • Ideally, your working hours align with CET +/-2 hours.
  • We offer flexible part-time or full-time arrangements.
  • We encourage taking time off when needed, with an unlimited vacation day policy (minimum 25 days per year based on full-time employment).

Responsibilities:

  • collaborate within a cross-functional team of experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to design, implement, and maintain our scalable cloud infrastructure
  • build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployment processes.
  • support developer productivity by designing, implementing and managing a consistent developer experience in a multi-service cloud infrastructure.
  • automate recurring tasks to offload chores off developers.
  • work closely with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of new features and solutions.
  • monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and security of our cloud systems.
  • troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
  • be a pillar for the shared responsibility of operating our app and site
