Description:

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Core technical expertise in managing Kafka and/or Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Broad experience in operating systems – Windows and Linux (system performance analysis, optimization, and monitoring)
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell)
  • Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience using an enterprise automation platform (e.g. Automic, Control-M)
  • Working knowledge of tools like GitLab, ArgoCD, SonarQube, and Artifactory

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting business users in the Americas and globally for our main trading and industrial information systems
  • Be part of a global DevOps team distributed across Switzerland, Canada and Australia
  • Building and maintaining our strategic on-premise cloud application environment
  • Building, configuring, and managing our critical Kafka infrastructure
  • Implementing and managing monitoring and logging solutions based on Enterprise Elasticsearch
  • Driving infrastructure changes to promote stability, security, performance, and modularity
  • Automating complex and repetitive business and technical processes
  • Promoting adoption of new technologies and standards
