JOB SUMMARY

As a DevOps Engineer at iBase-t, you will collaborate closely with software engineers to deploy, operate, and optimize various systems. Your role will involve automating and streamlining the company’s operations and processes, acting as both a DevOps Engineer and a DevOps Solutions Architect.
You will play a pivotal role in enabling efficient and scalable solutions that align with business needs and drive operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a DevOps role, preferably in a product-focused environment.
  • Expert-level knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms. AWS and Azure are preferred.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tool. Terraform is preferred.
  • Proven GitOps experience like ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack, etc.
  • Expert-level Linux administration experience with variety of operating systems like Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Go Language.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana and ELK stack.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions to support our software development and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for our infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the DevOps team.
  • Collaborate with Architecture and Product teams on product improvements.
  • Improve and automate product packaging and release pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Automation and Orchestration:
  • Automate build and deployment processes for legacy systems and new microservices.
  • Utilize a wide variety of open-source technologies to orchestrate innovative solutions.
  • DevOps Tools and Practices:
  • Test, build, design, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery processes using various DevOps tools.
  • Fluent with DevOps and automation tools, choosing the best technologies that fit business needs.
  • Source Control and Build Management:
  • Manage source control, build engines, and repositories, including GitLab, GitLab runners, Artifactory, security tools, Jenkins, etc.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with development and IT teams to ensure applications align with business needs.
  • Support other departments and customers for DevOps needs.
  • Deployment Architecture:
  • Architect deployment strategies for applications on different platforms, both on-premises and cloud, using tools like Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud managed services, Infra as code (Terraform preferred), GitLab CI, etc.
  • Work towards Cloud and SaaS enablement.
