As a DevOps Engineer in the Data Solutions Team at PGGM Investment Management IT (IM IT), you will be responsible for designing and developing robust data solutions that support our investment processes. You will set up data interfaces, connect data, and manage the data model. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining applications and tools, ensuring that our data infrastructures and systems are always performing optimally.
You will work closely with other (business) teams to meet their data analytics needs and to seamlessly integrate innovative use cases. In addition, you support the development of tools and dashboards that enable 3D investing and ensure that our solutions comply with data privacy and security standards. Flexibility is key, as your work will vary based on the needs of the team. Your priority is to deliver on the team’s promises and elevate the team to a higher level.

Specifically, you will be involved in:

• Designing, developing, configuring, testing, deploying, and managing new data solutions that support our business domains.
• End-to-end monitoring of developed data products in production.
• Setting up and optimizing the Azure infrastructure within our landing zone architecture and further automating cloud setup and deployments.
• Implementing best practices in data governance and quality management.
• Proactively resolving technical issues and incidents to ensure the reliability of our systems.
• Contributing to knowledge transfer and development within the team by applying the latest technological advancements in data and cloud.

In this role, you will work closely with other teams within PGGM, such as the IM IT Data Infrastructure Team, Investment Analytics, Cloud Service & Building Blocks Team, Data Management, IT4IT, Innovation, and Data Science Support Team. You will be able to directly demonstrate your added value in ongoing projects.

PGGM manages the pension administration for 5.6 million Dutch citizens, with close to 250 billion euros in assets under management. Within IM IT, about 85 colleagues are working on the change agenda for our asset management chain.
The IM IT Data Solutions team supports the business domains with reliable and well-maintained data solutions to achieve their goals and realize the IM 3D ambitions. The team consists of ten colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and we work closely together with a healthy dose of humor. We regularly organize programming sessions and hackathons to share knowledge.
Jouw achtergrond

Are you a driven IT professional with a passion for data and teamwork? Do you have experience with IT design and development, especially in Microsoft Azure Cloud, and affinity with asset management? Then this role might be for you!

• Higher Professional Education/University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) level, preferably with an IT-related degree.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum/DevOps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with coaching abilities and a customer-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Knowledge of SQL (DDL, DQL, and DML).
• Knowledge of Python, especially focused on data (Snowpark/Pyspark and Pandas) and preferably Pyramid Webframework.

Preferred

• Experience with Snowflake and DBT.
• Experience with Docker Containers.
• Experience with Web Apps or TypeScript/Angular.
• Knowledge of network architectures in a Cloud environment and the associated (information) security.
• Asset Management knowledge (Trading and Portfolio Management).

• A gross monthly salary between € 4.718,- and 6.740,- based on 36 hours, depending on your years of relevant experience and skills.
• A gross monthly salary in scale 16 of the CAO BMO;
• A 36-hour workweek with flexible working hours;
