The Role
Are you passionate about cloud technology? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and technically challenging environment? If so, here is your chance. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The open position is within the Platform and Application Engineering Services team, which is a vital part of the Application Managements and Operations (AMO) department. The Platform and Application Engineering Services team is responsible for overseeing the group’s Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools, along with related automation, as part of developing our Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering for both on-premises and cloud environments.
The deliverables generally focus on automating DevOps processes to streamline product development and reduce time to market for our customer services. You will be joining a team that values strong working relationships, prioritizes high quality and availability, and adopts a zero-downtime approach.
In this role you will work with other DevOps Engineers to build and maintain the infrastructure that is critical to running Kindreds Core Data Platform, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning Platforms, as well as your own personal growth. You should be open to learning new technologies and be enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of a Programming Language, for example Python.
Good understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, for example EKS, EC2, EBS, Lambda, S3, MSK, and CloudWatch.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or cloud-native solutions.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Containers, and Helm deployment.
Ability to drive new technical projects & solutions with strong autonomy.
Experience within open source and appliance products.
Software developer mindset, troubleshooting techniques, and solving problems through repeatable and testable automation.
Verbal and written communication skills.
