Description:

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Our development team consists of specialists in frontend, backend, QA, product and designers. We work in small cross-functional teams that give everybody insight and hands-on experience of what everyone else is doing. Each team is self-sustained, autonomous and responsible for a specific feature or area in our platform. We believe in strong collaboration and open communication and mentoring to allow bi-directional growth. We are working to make Talon. One an inclusive workplace, because we believe it is the right thing to do and because we want to have a positive impact on the entire tech industry.
We would prefer to meet professionals who are already based in Berlin or willing to move to Berlin.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 3+ years rocking it in a DevOps/Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering role
  • A solid grasp of CI/CD processes – you’re practically a CI/CD wizard
  • Mastery of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployment processes
  • Previous experience with cloud providers (GCP preferred)
  • Daily tools of the trade: Git, Bash, PostgreSQL, Go – you know them well
  • Observability and monitoring pros are welcome – extra points for DataDog, Prometheus & Grafana
  • Load balancers like Træfik or Nginx? Yes, please!
  • Experience supporting data teams and operations (Pub/Sub, Kafka connect, data streaming – you get the drift)
  • Ability to work independently in our tight-knit team
  • Proactive problem-solver and incident response hero
  • Open-minded collaborator ready to share and grow with us

Responsibilities:

We are looking forward to welcome the 6th member of our DevOps team based in Berlin. Your role will be ensuring and upgrading the operation of our platform by improving existing infrastructure and extending its scalability and resiliency.
We expect the new team member to not only bring their proactivity and prompt response in elimination of incidents, but also always be open to collaborative problem-solving discussions and sharing knowledge within the team.
Due to the responsibilities involved with this role, the team operates in an on-call rotation set-up.
