QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical Leadership: Experience in engineering leadership roles within scale-up environments, with a focus on cloud software delivery.
- Must have working knowledge of services written in Go or Python, Infrastructure-as-Code, container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes or Nomad, serverless computing like Lambda, or similar.
- Background in architecting and developing complex technical solutions across a range of technologies.
- Experience with cloud computing, including the scalability, reliability, observability, and security of cloud-hosted systems.
- Project Management: Experience in managing throughout the software lifecycle, working effectively with other stakeholders to take from ideation, to launch, to subsequent iteration.
- Communication: Ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive for Excellence: Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As the DevOps Platform Manager, you will play a critical role in transforming our infrastructure to ensure it scales efficiently. You’ll take ownership of the DevOps and platform teams, optimizing cloud services, enhancing security protocols, and keeping hosting costs under control. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll develop and mentor a team, but also get deep into technical problems (and code!) when needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership & Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and guide an engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee development.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with other teams to align engineering initiatives with business goals, managing priorities across product and technology roadmaps.
- Technical Oversight: Drive quality output by introducing best practices, writing and reviewing code, and engaging in collaborative problem solving and solutioning.
- Work Management: Oversee major project execution, managing timelines, resources, competing interests and risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively within your team and with other teams, ensuring alignment on goals and decisions.
- Cost Optimization: Keep an eye on hosting costs, working with all teams to manage an overall budget while continuing to innovate.
