Description:

The DevOps Project Manager I will support multiple internal product and software development projects ensuring success by developing and tracking budgets, providing outstanding project management, process improvement, and risk management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
  • Excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Advanced computer skills including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and project management software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strategic decision making skills
  • Great at collaborating with a variety of colleagues and clients on important projects
  • High energy and passionate personality
  • Maintain a positive attitude while interacting with colleagues and clients
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Occasional travel for meetings and trainings

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Assist in developing project plans under the guidance of senior project managers
  • Participate in regular project meetings to track progress
  • Provide support and encouragement to team members
  • Help manage project timelines and ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate project status and updates to internal team members
  • Assist in collaborating with vendors and suppliers as needed
  • Software Development Focus:
  • Support the alignment of project goals with technical requirements
  • Assist in establishing and optimizing the software development life cycle (SDLC) processes
  • Work closely with development teams to understand their needs
  • Product Management Overlaps:
  • Assist in prioritizing project roadmaps alongside product management
  • Support bid assessment and contract planning
  • Help ensure quality standards align with product expectations
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
  • Communicate project updates and milestones to team leads
  • Provide relevant information to managers to keep them informed about project progress
  • Tailor communication style to suit different audiences within the team
  • Risk Mitigation and Decision-Making:
  • Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies to senior project managers
  • Seek input from senior project managers on critical decisions related to project scope, budget, and resource allocation
  • Strategic Alignment:
  • Align project tasks with the organization’s strategic vision
  • Engage in discussions with team leads to ensure projects contribute to overall business objectives
  • Change Management:
  • Communicate changes in project direction, scope adjustments, or resource reallocations to the team
  • Obtain buy-in from team leads for any significant changes
  • Conflict Resolution:
  • Address minor conflicts or disagreements within the project team and escalate as needed
  • Seek guidance from senior project managers when resolving complex issues
  • Metrics and Performance Tracking:
  • Assist in defining and tracking key performance metrics related to software development projects
  • Regularly assess project progress, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements
  • Harmonization Across Business Units:
  • Support the standardization of processes across different business units to enhance efficiency and consistency
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among teams
