Description:
Job Title: - Diabetes Specialist Nurse
Trust: - Central Surrey Health
Location: - St Peters Hospital
Pay Rates: £24-£37
Shift Patterns: - Weekdays 9am-5pm
QUALIFICATIONS:-
- First degree in Nursing or equivalent level of experience
- NMC Registered General Nurse
- Evidence of certified continual professional development within specialist area.
- Post graduate certificate in diabetes
- Mentorship course.
EXPERIENCE :-
- Minimum of five years experience as a registered nurse.
- Evidence of working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience of working with people with diabetes, both type 1 and type 2.
- Research or clinical audit experience.
- Community health care experience.
SKILLS :-
- Ability to clinically assess, deliver and evaluate high quality care.
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Able to reflect on own strengths and development needs
- Ability to work under pressure, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate use of evidence based practice in line with clinical governance principles.
- Ability to develop new skills appropriate to the role.
