Job Title: - Diabetes Specialist Nurse
Trust: - Central Surrey Health
Location: - St Peters Hospital
Pay Rates: £24-£37
Shift Patterns: - Weekdays 9am-5pm

QUALIFICATIONS:-

• First degree in Nursing or equivalent level of experience
• NMC Registered General Nurse
• Evidence of certified continual professional development within specialist area.
• Post graduate certificate in diabetes
• Mentorship course.

EXPERIENCE :-

• Minimum of five years experience as a registered nurse.
• Evidence of working in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience of working with people with diabetes, both type 1 and type 2.
• Research or clinical audit experience.
• Community health care experience.

SKILLS :-

• Ability to clinically assess, deliver and evaluate high quality care.
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Able to reflect on own strengths and development needs
• Ability to work under pressure, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to demonstrate use of evidence based practice in line with clinical governance principles.
• Ability to develop new skills appropriate to the role.
