The Position

WHO YOU ARE:

  • With a Master’s degree and/or PhD in Life Sciences (or equivalent) engineering or technical subjects, you have sales experience, relevant and consolidated knowledge of the market and IVD business, ideally with experience in technical/ application support.
  • You have a strong focus on the customer experience, making their journey technically outstanding, as well as strong commercial customer follow up, exploiting the full potential of the installed base and new business opportunities.
  • You demonstrate commercial acumen, with a strong sense of urgency and motivation to achieve results, which translates into the ability to ensure operational excellence, identify and foster business opportunities in a competitive environment. You show expertise for after-sales support and operations continuity.
  • With a strong collaborative mindset, you are passionate about teamwork and possess excellent interpersonal skills that allow the development of long-term and trustful relationships in and outside the organization.
  • Showing strong decision making and problem solving capabilities, you have the ability to take risks and experiment new approaches, work in cross functional teams in an agile environment, seeing other’s success as inspirational.   • You are a strong communicator, with excellent presentation skills, able to effectively communicate with different target audiences, and you are fluent in both English and Portuguese.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify business opportunities, promote Roche portfolio demonstrating clinical and operational value of our products and solutions, and manage assigned accounts, at the lab level, identifying growth opportunities, collecting and bringing insights on the competitor activities, market trends and customer needs.
  • Purpose, actively participate, develop and implement the long-term strategic plan for the accounts, analyzing sales data and implementing appropriate actions.
  • Support and provide all the necessary content for tenders and provide up-to-date clinical information, benefits, and features of our portfolio to customers, including presentations and training sessions.
  • Keep up to date with technical and scientific developments, carrying out with high technical competence the training and support according to the requirements and needs of customers and the business.
  • Prepare, install, configure and parameterize our solutions, ensuring customer evaluations and demonstrations, after the installation and training phase. Solve application problems and perform software updates when necessary.
  • Enhance customer experience and subsequently secure Roche position in the market by organically expanding our footprint in close collaboration with other colleagues in the organization, while ensuring compliance with company policies, legal and ethical regulations in the industry
