Tallangatta Health Service is a 56 bed, small rural public health service providing a mix of acute, sub-acute, aged care residential, and community services to Tallangatta and the surrounding district. Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an Dietitian to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation and delivery of dietetics services to our Consumers, including our Aged Care Residents and Community. As a part of a supportive Allied Health team, you will work closely with our Residents and other staff members to ensure a person-centred, high quality service. You will also be responsible for providing consultation and support to Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals within the Health Service and supervise and support our dedicated Nutrition Allied Health Assistant.
You will also have the opportunity to develop and lead our new community health program to support the Tallangatta and wider communities.
This position is offered on a Permanent, Part Time contract working two days per week, maximum of 32 hours per fortnight. Flexible roster arrangements can be negotiated, to suit your lifestyle and other commitments.
You are passionate about what you do and want to support our consumers to live life to their potential. You will also have the following;
- Eligibility for full membership with the Dietitians Association of Australia
- Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status or willing to participate
- Demonstrated industry experience, with Aged Care and Community experience is desirable but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in consumer-centred car
