DIGITAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (SALES) REQUIRED IN DURBAN.

A well-known national Media company is looking for a “Digital Account Executive (Sales)” to join their digital team on a full-time permanent basis for their offices based in Durban.

Core Purpose of The Job:
The Digital Account Executive will serve as the regional sales lead for the company’s Digital’s key regional customers while partnering with internal teams to formulate, recommend, and implement innovative and effective digital strategies, solutions & services to our clients. This is a position for a seasoned marketer who will lead, shape, and expand client strategy and tactical planning initiatives across all channels related to both digital and traditional marketing.
In the Digital Account Executive position, your core goal will be to identify and qualify high potential client opportunities. The Digital Sales Executive will be responsible for pipeline management, lead generation, achieving sales targets and driving revenue through existing & new client opportunities.
Our fast-pace group sales team has an infectious drive to exceed individual and team revenue goals. The ideal candidate for this position is an independent, self-motivated, proven digital sales professional who can confidently represent our business & brand in the South African market.
The role requires an experienced innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of our business & our clients’ business to drive growth opportunities.
The candidate must possess strong business acumen and expertise in developing integrated solutions for multiple content channels, from digital marketing to print/web-based experiences.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Extensive experience in digital marketing, agency or brand.
  • Digital marketing qualification (advantage).
  • Creative brand knowledge.
  • Superior communication skills, both internal and client-facing.
  • Strong relationship management, organizational and project management Skills.
  • Expert client presentation skills.
  • Strong strategic thinker and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of Internal teams and business groups, including creative media and technical delivery specialists.

Management levels:

  • Ability to interact at C-Suite & senior management level.

  • Interacts effectively in the company with clients and the executive team.
  • Goes beyond making ideas make sense, to making them compelling; Inspires original creative thinking among every digital team member.
  • Able to translate “how we’re doing” data into “how we can make it better” ideas.
  • Presents compellingly and confidently; able to think on their feet; Has great ability to listen and think in the moment.
  • Prospecting, lead-generation and development of new accounts for Digital Solutions.
  • Secure meetings with high-level decision makers and Influencers.
  • Engaging in a consultative mode to understand and capitalize on clients’ needs.
  • Build a strategic plan for our dent that focuses on customer understanding, relationship building and driving revenue.
  • Travel when necessary to meet clients in person at industry conferences and client meetings throughout the SA.
  • Maintain Effective Communication
  • Share knowledge with other sale’s people and draw on skills of experts where required lo fulfil customer requirements.
  • Effective communication with production, internal sales support, estimating and manager.
  • Advise management about market conditions, brand / product performance and competition affecting targeted industries.
  • Provide manager with weekly sales forecasts & reports.
  • Resolve Implementation, production and platform/product issues with customers.
