We are seeking a dynamic and organised Digital and Email Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for marketing, diligent organisational skills with care and attention to detail, and the ability to execute campaigns that drive engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Email Marketing
- Create, edit, format and execute engaging email marketing campaigns that nurture leads along the sales funnel to meet goals and targets.
- Ability to write engaging email copy and work with various image and video formats, to maximise the use of content within email marketing campaigns.
- Understanding of email contact lists, automation, segmentation, workflows and CTAs.
- Take care of nuance between different target market lists and the content needed for their needs and concerns, to deliver the right message at the right time to each of our target audiences.
- Oversee the email marketing list structure and support keeping lists clean and updated for optimum use.
- CRM/HubSpot
- Optimise Portobello Institute’s email marketing contact lists, sales funnels, automation, workflows and standard digital and email marketing functionality.
- Ensure the quality of email marketing lists, and email marketing performance are to the highest standard.
- Website Publishing
- Update and publish success stories, course pages, and details within WordPress to support the team with website management and efficiency.
- Update and enhance course pages on our website as needed.
- Writing, editing and content distribution
- Support the marketing team to source, write and publish student and graduate success stories to our in-house publishing standards.
- Understand, create and distribute engaging written and visual content across digital platforms, including social media, blogs, and emails in line with planned campaigns.
- Support the delivery of paid advertising campaigns working to marketing budgets (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) to drive traffic and conversions, understanding of image and video formatting and ability to work to brand guidelines.
- Optimise our website for SEO and enhance user experience through blogs, articles, success stories and more.
- Event Marketing
- Support our admissions and academic teams to coordinate marketing efforts for events, including open days, webinars, and admissions outreach events.
- Support online (webinar) and in-person event planning, set-up and delivery in line with the brand and marketing goals and annual calendar.
- Ensure events are consistently well-promoted through digital and traditional marketing channels, all brand guidelines are adhered to and smooth organisation of the event process.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, PR, business, journalism or a related field.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing or similar.
- Experience in CRM systems (preferably HubSpot).
- Broad knowledge of email marketing, channel funnels and automation platforms.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, writing skills, care and compassion for our target audience.
- Strong writing, editing and formatting skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating care and accuracy.
- An interest in education and lifelong learning.
Desirable:
- Experience in the education or training sector.
- Knowledge of HubSpot, Canva, or similar design tools.
- Experience with WordPress and website administration.
