Description:

As a Digital Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic vision and direction of RAC’s digital platform. You’ll engage with diverse business and technical stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate the platform’s capabilities effectively. Collaborating with other domain architects, you will ensure strategic alignment across various initiatives, facilitating informed decision-making. Your position will also be central to the ongoing adoption and development of technologies that support our composable digital platform, ultimately enhancing the delivery of exceptional member experiences.
This is a 1 year maximum term position with possible extension.

What will you be doing?

  • Driving and defining the strategic vision for RAC’s digital platform by supporting the Architecture function.
  • Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, along with product owners and their teams, to understand their requirements and effectively communicate the platform’s capabilities, highlighting potential benefits.
  • Partnering with domain architects and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment across initiatives and to facilitate effective adoption and use of the digital platform.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential technology solutions and advocate for their adoption as part of our composable digital platform, where applicable.
  • Contributing to the design of digital solutions that are in line with the overall architectural strategy and address business needs.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive architecture documentation, including blueprints, roadmaps, and guidelines.
  • Keeping up with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform and guide the long-term digital technology strategy.
  • Contributing to the design and enforcement of architectural governance, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry and government regulations related to security and privacy.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Extensive experience in IT with a focus on architecture, proven track record in developing and guiding digital strategies, and experience managing and modeling various system/application types (e.g., SaaS, CoTS, managed services).
  • Experience with Azure, or other hybrid cloud environments. Technical proficiency in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and MACH architecture principles.
  • Certification in frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Experience in leading teams and projects, along with strong collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to align technology initiatives with business strategy and goals, coupled with an aptitude for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in creating comprehensive architecture documentation, and an understanding of architectural governance and best practices.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
