Responsibilities:
Key tasks
- Support the development of high-quality bilingual content to use across digital channels meeting standards on style, tone of voice and publishing.
- Source appropriate imagery and use photo editing software for digital content.
- Use timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analysing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimise.
- Work closely with colleagues to create content that raises awareness and boosts engagement with key WG policy announcements, events and launches.
- Monitor user engagement and trends – gathering analysis and reporting.
- Supporting the storyboarding, shooting, editing and optimising of video content.
- Curate, tag and store content, documenting rights and usage.
- Editing photography and designing written content.
- Stay up to date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
This role offers the chance to:
- Gain hands-on experience in managing and delivering content to a range of different audiences across high-profile digital accounts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including policy colleagues, press offices, communications and marketing agencies. Providing an opportunity to develop strong interpersonal skills and build professional networks.
- Proactively make links and work with a wide range of Welsh Government teams external partners including other Governments in the UK
