Borough Kitchen is in search of a talented Digital Content & eCommerce Assistant, to join our dynamic marketing and e-commerce team. You will be responsible for curating, creating, and managing engaging content across various digital platforms to enhance our brand presence and drive customer engagement. You will help ensure that our digital presence delivers a top-notch shopping experience to our customers.
Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, e-commerce, and design, to produce quality content that aligns with our brand values and resonates with our target audience. This position reports to the Director of E-Commerce.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in content creation, editing, and management for digital platforms
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices
  • Good knowledge of Shopify and knowledge of ERP systems a plus
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML
  • Relevant experience in e-commerce, retail, or a related field is preferred
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing principles
  • Good analytical skills and comfort with data interpretation
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (including Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides), Microsoft Office Suite; experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify) is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A genuine passion for cooking and home entertaining

Responsibilities:

  • Create, write, edit and manage product listings and ensuring accurate descriptions, images, and pricing on the website.
  • Create, edit, and manage a variety of other digital content including bundles, blog posts, website copy and external touch points such as our Google Business accounts.
  • Product imagery retouching or editing for some of our product photos or digital content.
  • Optimise content for SEO, ensuring that all digital material follows best practices.
  • Help maintain a seamless user experience on the website
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to produce engaging visuals that complement written content.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to continually enhance our digital presence.
  • Use analytics and performance metrics to assess engagement levels and inform future content strategies. Analyse website performance data to identify trends and provide insights.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock for online sales
  • Stay updated on e-commerce trends and assist in implementing enhancements
