Description:

Job Advert
Working as part of the marketing team, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of different tasks and activities, drawing on the previous experience you will have already gained.

Working between our 2 key office locations of Nottingham and Newark, you will work directly with our Managers and Directors to understand their requirements, have the opportunity to make your own suggestions and also present brand new ideas and concepts too. We are a fast paced, responsive marketing team, evolving to support the needs of the organisations but predominatrely you can expect your day to day work to include:

  • Plan, create and distribute digital content across the organisation
  • Working with team members to build relationships with local press, people of interest and digital communities.
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and distributing our news, case studies and recommending topical news activity.
  • Lead on the YMCA Robin Hood digital content. Creating compelling YMCA Robin Hood copy content, news, impact stories and service activity across local press, community groups and YMCA RHG digital channels.
  • Create and upload copy content for email campaigns, social media and YMCA Robin Hood websites, working with stakeholders to ensure it is on-brand with correct tone of voice.
  • Ensure a proofing process for all external marketing materials is undertaken.
  • To keep track of current digital marketing communication best practices, making recommendations for our own marketing communications where appropriate.
  • Tracking reach and engagement on a monthly basis.
  • To support the development of our organisational culture that puts our core values – Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility – at the centre of all we do.

From your background, you will have a broad array of experiences across different channels and platforms. From managing a variety of social media channels and platforms, to executing campaigns you will be able to draw on your previous breadth of experience.
In addition to the experience you have gained from your paid employment, some of your experience might come from your own projects and voluntary work or it might come from your studies – we are just looking to see that you understand the theories, concepts and can execute work to a high standard with minimal supervision.
This is a really broad role where you will get the chance to get involved with photo and video shoots, website content development and writing press releases. You will work with the support of the wider marketing team but also with the freedom and autonomy to work with directly with our stakeholders and managers.
We are really open to your ideas and suggestions and are happy for you to develop your own ideas of how we can best showcase our services.
You will have great face to face and written communication skills; You will share our passion for the work we do and be able to convey that message through the work you produce!
You will have the confidence to be able to meet with stakeholders and ask questions to ensure you fully understand their requirements; you will also be confident enough to share your ideas and influence where required!
You will need to be comfortable travelling between Nottingham and Newark as our Marketing team split their time equally across these 2 key office locations for us; if you could drive this would be amazing but not essential as both locations are accessible by public transport. You would be able to work from home 1 day per week but you must be comfortable working on site 4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • To keep track of current digital marketing communication best practices, making recommendations for our own marketing communications where appropriate.
  • Tracking reach and engagement on a monthly basis.
  • To support the development of our organisational culture that puts our core values – Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility – at the centre of all we do
