Description:
The Digital Implementation Lead is a key member of the Division’s Digital Team and will work with all groups across the Division to develop a culture that sustains excellence in the successful delivery of Digital projects.
The post holder will be responsible for the project management and implementation of elements of the Trust’s Division of Specialist Care Digital Programme, in adherence to Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trusts (CW) ICT strategy. This could include responsibility for multiple cross site projects working with Digital Operations, Innovation, Performance and Information Teams, using PRINCE2 project management methodology and other relevant standards as appropriate.
The post holder will manage projects within time, budget and scope tolerances, ensuring congruence and alignment with other projects and service development initiatives. The post holder must at all times ensure consistency with the aims and requirements of internal and external bodies, for example senior clinicians, end users, NHS bodies and user groups, and third party suppliers.
The post holder will be expected to be a champion of the use of project information systems within the organisation in support of service development and clinical governance.
The post holder will be responsible for the development and maintenance of project documentation related to the project and at times may be required to work on or assist with other projects.

Ensure that new systems and processes are installed and functioning properly
Be responsible for the development and ongoing management of partnerships with external suppliers, ensuring that all contractual and statutory obligations are met .
Ensure contractual obligations are met including safety reporting obligations, provision of documentation, progress reports and report writing .
Identify, record and provide solutions to complex project risks and issues
Assist with business contingency and disaster recovery planning for assigned project .
Assist with the design and development of operational policies, procedures training requirements for assigned project .
Provide timely highlight / exception reports etc. to the relevant boards and committees .
Make use of a wide range of information sources, including the Intranet/Internet, and professional publications so as to enhance successful /project delivery .
Establish cross-functional project teams, working groups and user groups as required to foster effective team communication and forums to drive the project forward, ensuring that all parties have a clear understanding of responsibilities.
Monitor projects to ensure that they are on target to deliver the proposed business benefits.
Assist in benefits identification and realisation including the compiling of the benefits register.
Coordinate the design, development and testing of systems, ensuring the deployed product meets the needs of users and stakeholders and is ultimately fit for purpose from both business and clinical perspectives.
Identify system enhancements and changes and escalate via the appropriate channels e.g. Request for Change, Contract Change Notice.
Responsibility and management of part of a budget.
Responsibility and management of digital systems within the post holders remit.
