DIGITAL LEARNING DEVELOPER

Location: Police Headquarters, Northallerton
Grade: Scale 6 / SO1
Salary: £30,783 - £35,982
Working Hours: Standard Office Hours
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in interactive web applications such as HTML5, XHTML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools, especially “Articulate”.
  • Skills in instructional design, graphic design, and illustration.
  • A creative approach to developing innovative learning solutions.
  • (Desirable) Experience with SCORM-compliant content, Adobe, and Microsoft Office systems.
  • (Desirable) A degree-level qualification in multimedia/computing or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cutting-edge e-learning solutions using the latest technologies and standards.
  • Design highly interactive multimedia resources for police officers and staff at all levels.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with organisational goals.
  • Provide technical support and advice on multimedia elements in blended learning solutions.
  • Ensure all materials comply with statutory requirements, including GDPR and Equality Act standards.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends to enhance North Yorkshire Police’s learning technology provision.
