The Digital Learning Officer role sits within the Student Careers & Engagement team which focuses on increasing engagement and diversifying the ways students can engage with the department.
We are part of the Students & Education Directorate, a collection of wide-ranging professional services in place to support King’s students and their education. As a directorate we manage the student lifecycle from application to graduation and beyond, to ensure a coherent and seamless student experience and effective administrative processes, working closely with King’s faculties to do so.
About the role
Digital Learning Officer role is to ensure KC&E provides comprehensive, high quality, and up-to-date information & resources to students and graduates through our digital platforms, including the website and virtual learning environments (VLEs). The role holder will be expected to source careers-related content in order to create, curate and refine a diverse range of digital careers information.
The role holder will be expected to work closely with colleagues across the KC&E to support in creating content for KC&E activities. The role holder will also be expected to work closely with colleagues to ensure activities are done in line with priority needs and the student voice in mind.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to develop new and exciting digital resources, and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in digital content creation. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in increasing student engagement.

This is a full time (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • Relevant work experience and/or education: We think a wide range of different work and educational experiences could support you to be successful in this role. Relevant work experience might include work in an IT or creative digital role. Relevant educational experiences might include higher education in a related discipline, professional qualifications or other training
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to diversify communication style according to audience.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage projects effectively, meet deadlines, and handle competing tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a range of different people at different levels to collaborate on shared objectives.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and feel confident in taking responsibility for projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously and without direct supervision to ensure projects are completed to deadline.
  • Experience creating educational digital resources

Desirable criteria

  • Experience working with Moodle or similar VLE Platforms
  • Experience with audio and video editing
  • Knowledge of the graduate labour market
