Description:

Title: Digital Marketing Assistant
Accountable To: Marketing Manager
Accountable For: NA
Section: Marketing
Location: Nicola Jane, Southern Gate, Terminus Road, Chichester, PO19 8SE
Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, normally 9.00 am – 5.00 pm Mon - Friday

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong working knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and digital marketing best practices.
Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and digital advertising (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and creativity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This exciting role requires a versatile individual with a strong understanding of web management and a passion for digital marketing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our website while implementing the creation, execution, and analysis of digital marketing campaigns to drive online engagement and business growth.
This is a varied and exciting role, joining our small, yet quickly growing team. Being enthusiastic and pro-active is essential, as well as using your own initiative.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Email Marketing: Implement the development and execution of email campaigns, including creating newsletters, promotional offers, and product launches. To include data selection and list management across platforms. Track and report on email performance metrics.
Paid Advertising: Help manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.) to maximize ROI.
SEO and Analytics: Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings. Update meta tags, alt text, and optimize images for faster load times. Monitor and track site performance using Google Analytics and other relevant tools to identify opportunities for improvements.
E-commerce Management: Regularly update content, images, products, promotions, and pages on the website and booking platform. Ensure that all web pages are functioning correctly, with timely resolutions to any issues. Collaborate with the Marketing and Product team to ensure new products are added in line with the business’s sales cycle and seasonal promotions.
Campaign Reporting and Analytics: Generate reports on website traffic, performance, and key metrics. Use data insights to recommend and implement enhancements for better user engagement and sales performance.
User Experience and Testing: Regularly test the website for usability and functionality across multiple browsers and devices. Work to continually enhance the user journey and recommend improvements in website design and features.
Technical Support: Troubleshoot website technical issues related to performance, functionality, and errors. Collaborate with external developers, IT, and design teams to implement updates and resolve problems.
