JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Marketing and Communications Executive to take an active role in raising our profile and delivering on a broad range of campaigns and initiatives, as well as managing our charities presence across our various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will develop engaging content, analyse performance metrics, and implement innovative strategies to build a strong online community and achieve our charity objectives and vision.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a background in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in managing social media accounts and websites for a brand or organisation.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Good understanding of analytics tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Strong graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe Photoshop).
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles.
  • Experience with social media advertising platforms like Facebook Ads Manager.
  • Experience with website CMS – e.g. Squarespace.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Full-time position, with flexible work-from-home options available.
  • 2 days a week in London offices.
  • Regular travel to houses in England, Wales and Scotland.

Responsibilities:

  • Communications:
  • Support the Head of Communications (HoC) in the delivery of the Communications Strategy.
  • Draft and coordinate content for internal and external newsletters.
  • Draft a range of engaging content for different audiences.
  • Support others across the organisation by co-creating marketing materials e.g. assets, leaflets, flyers, banners etc as required.
  • Support the delivery of events – particularly fundraising events.
  • Social Media Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Plan and schedule content calendars for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others in consultation with the HoC.
  • Website Management:
  • Maintain the charity website – adding content as required and ensuring pages are up to date.
  • Work with the HoC to ensure the site is SEO friendly.
  • Monitor website performance using Google Analytics.
  • Content Creation & Management:
  • Attend a range of events to capture high quality content (e.g. images, video and stories)
  • Create, curate, and manage high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content (text, images, videos, etc.).
  • Liaise with external photographers and videographers as required to produce compelling visuals.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, customers, donors, and influencers to foster community growth.
  • Address enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
  • Monitor all marcomms channels – updating a monthly tracker for use with reporting.
  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reach, engagement, impressions, and conversions.
  • Prepare a quarterly performance report and insight to guide future strategies.
  • Campaign Management:
  • Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns (e.g., sponsored posts, promotions).
  • Manage Google Adwords account ensuring campaigns are performing well.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders across the charity to ensure timely social media posts to support events, operations and fundraising.
  • Trend Monitoring:
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and platform updates.
  • Recommend new features or strategies to stay ahead in the digital landscape.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to align social media efforts with broader campaigns.
  • Partner with influencers and brand advocates for promotions and collaborations.
