JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Content Strategy; the Digital Marketing, Coordinator is a key member of the marketing team at Canlan Sports. Committed to creating sports communities that change lives for the better, this role will demonstrate strong brand connectivity through our digital presence and work closely with marketing team to improve and optimize Canlan Sports’ digital reach, awareness and loyalty by delivering relevant content to create the best possible experience for our sport communities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • College or University Degree in Sales & Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media relations/technology, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a digital marketing role with an agency, sports and recreation organization, or similar industry, with a proven and successful track record

  • Communication comes first. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently across various channels, using tone of voice appropriate for intended audience.
  • Enthusiastic with a passion for creative within the sports and recreation industry
  • Ability to conceptualize digital marketing campaigns that are compelling while adhering to brand standards and buyers’ persona
  • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail with meticulous grammar skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects based on level of importance while establishing deadlines and workback schedules based on key project dates
  • Driven self-starter, autonomous with capability to multi-task & function well under pressure
  • Exceptional at disseminating key findings within the digital landscape
  • Social listening skills coupled with thought leadership to provide comprehensive competitive analysis for bettering digital presence
  • Proven experience using CMS, SMM, Google Analytics and project management software
  • Deep technical knowledge of efficient content promotion strategies
  • Flexibility to adapt to new technologies or processes and develop efficiencies for utilization

Responsibilities:

  • Project management & execution for all digital marketing tactics including:
  • Social Listening, Content Creation, and Execution/Deployment of integrated marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and track performance of digital campaigns, reporting on relevant digital platforms including research & competitive analyses
  • Developing & coordinating all internal and external communications for website, social & email and quality assurance across all platforms.
  • Utilizing project management software to ensure timeliness of projects
  • Examples: campaign coordinating, workback schedules & deadlines are met
  • Follow-ups and check-ins with internal & external stakeholders
  • Manage day-to-day activities associated with social platforms
  • Stay current on all trends & best practices of content creation
  • Social listening, increasing engagement & awareness on all social channels to meet key performance indicators
  • Online quality assurance on all proprietary and shared digital channels
  • Reporting on all digital marketing efforts
  • Measuring the effectiveness of campaigns, social posts based on KPIs
  • Examine creative possibilities based on findings and apply findings to proactively make digital presence better
