Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Digital Marketing Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales through digital channels, focusing on increasing revenue, customer acquisition, and brand awareness. The role blends digital marketing skills with sales expertise, working closely with the sales and marketing teams to design and implement campaigns that generate leads, nurture prospects, and close deals. The ideal candidate will have experience in both sales and digital marketing, with a focus on using digital tools and platforms to enhance the sales process.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in digital marketing, sales, or a hybrid role that combines both.
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Proficiency in digital marketing channels such as SEO, SEM, PPC, social media marketing, and email marketing.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record in generating leads and closing sales, with strong knowledge of sales funnels and customer acquisition strategies.
- CRM & Analytics Tools: Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign), and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Content Creation: Strong copywriting skills for digital content (e.g., landing pages, ad copy, email copy).
- Social Media Proficiency: Understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and how they can be used for lead generation and sales.
- Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess campaign performance, report results, and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns (e.g., SEO, SEM, PPC, email marketing, content marketing) to generate qualified leads.
- Identify and segment target markets using digital channels like Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Use CRM software and digital tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage and track leads through the sales funnel.
- Research and build a strong database of potential customers through online channels.
- Sales Funnel Management:
- Nurture leads through automated email sequences, retargeting ads, and personalized outreach based on behavior.
- Monitor and track lead behavior (website visits, email engagement, etc.) to understand prospects’ readiness to buy.
- Collaborate with the sales team to hand off qualified leads and assist with follow-ups.
- Use content-driven approaches (eBooks, whitepapers, case studies, webinars) to drive prospects toward conversion.
- Customer Acquisition & Conversion:
- Work with the digital marketing team to optimize landing pages, CTAs (Calls to Action), and other elements of the website for higher conversion rates.
- Implement strategies for remarketing and retargeting previous website visitors and leads.
- Develop persuasive and personalized sales copy for landing pages, emails, and ads that resonate with prospects and push them toward making a purchase.
- Engage in direct communication with high-potential leads via digital channels like email, chat, or social media to convert them into customers.
- Campaign Strategy & Optimization:
- Analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns and sales initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed.
- A/B test landing pages, email campaigns, and ad creatives to improve conversion rates.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), Return on Investment (ROI), click-through rates (CTR), and sales growth.
- Continuously analyze competitor strategies and market trends to adjust digital sales campaigns.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with marketing teams to align digital marketing efforts with sales goals and strategies.
- Report regularly on sales performance, lead quality, and marketing metrics to sales and executive teams.
- Provide feedback on digital marketing campaigns and share insights from a sales perspective to improve targeting, messaging, and creative.
- Help shape and refine the digital sales strategy by using data and insights gathered from campaigns.
- Customer Retention & Relationship Building:
- Engage with existing customers through targeted digital communication (e.g., email newsletters, customer success programs) to foster long-term relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities within the existing customer base using digital touchpoints.
- Assist in developing customer loyalty programs and referral programs that can be marketed through digital channels.
