Description:

WHAT YOU’LL BRING;

  • 4-5 years experience working in a similar position with internet marketing
  • Background in E-commerce and/or retail is required
  • Experience working in agencies is an asset
  • Experience with web analytics, online campaign management, and measurement knowledge is essential for success in this role.
  • Certifications in Digital marketing or web analytics would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in Google Ads, Adword Editor, GA4, DV360, and DCM is a must.
  • Proven leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

As the Digital Marketing Manager at Sporting Life Group (SLG), you will develop, deliver, and execute digital marketing strategies for SLG and our banners, Golf Town, Sporting Life, and Team Town Sports. Our retail banners are iconically Canadian and committed to providing the best possible experience for customers and their families.
Taking charge of our digital marketing initiatives, from campaign launch to optimization, driving measurable success. You’ll translate business goals into impactful digital strategies, collaborating with internal teams and external media partners to create engaging, high-performing campaigns. As an expert in SEM, SEO, and social media, you’ll manage SEM, Shopping, and affiliate campaigns, ensuring seamless optimization and reporting to stakeholders. Proficiency in Google Ads, SA360, and Meta Ads is key, and you’ll have the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge tools like DV360 and our DMP to maximize content exposure and drive results.

You will be a vital member of a dynamic and evolving marketing team, working with and reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager. The entire marketing team values creativity and a passion for inspiring Canadians.

  • Through knowledge of SEM, programming, social media, and SEO.
  • Work with external media partners and internal marketing teams to develop campaign strategies, tactics, action plans, and timelines based on the project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Responsible for optimizing the entry points to our eCommerce properties from any external web advertising to ensure relevant content is presented to the customer.
  • While working with our eCommerce team, it’s important to identify and maintain strategic opportunities for products and vendors that are top sellers, have high page views, and have high inventory on the site in order to increase conversion and optimize promotions.
  • Set up & optimize programmatic campaigns on DV360, DCM and SA360.
  • Leverage our DMP to create and target segments correctly.
  • Leverage both first-party and third-party data through our DMP.
  • Continually explore new developments in the digital landscape to find ways to deliver content and business objectives more effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage our affiliate programs to optimize content and maximize our exposure.
