Description:

  • Job Title: Digital Media Manager
  • Level & Responsibility: This role is at a Manager level or equivalent and has responsibility over a portfolio of clients as well as a team. This role might be better known as Digital Campaign Manager, Client Media Manager or Digital Account Manager in other businesses.
  • Salary: £39,000+ per annum, depending on experience plus a 10% bonus scheme
  • Location & Hybrid Working: 2 days a week in the Liverpool office

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Digital Media Manager to join our Very Media Group team. In this role, you will support the Senior Management team in the delivery of commercial targets through exceptional delivery and implementation of brand campaigns across VMG. You will also lead digital media innovation for one of our key retail partnerships.
You will be accountable for managing a campaign from the point of agreement with the client, to the last piece of media being delivered. You will have accountability
for leading the digital media innovation pipeline for a key retail account and will be responsible for the end-to-end process, including ideation to delivery of new digital media toolkit capabilities. Furthermore, you will be responsible for your own strategic categories whilst also supporting and helping develop the team under you.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Manage and develop a direct report(s), completing weekly 121 meetings, quarterly work plans and 6-month appraisal reviews.
  • Support in leading the commercial side of the partnership by managing forecasts, reporting back on commercial positions in line with targets, and assisting with ad-hoc requests.
  • Relationship management of multiple stakeholders across VMG and supplier brands, building strong working relationships to help deliver co-brandedmarketing campaigns for all parties.
  • Create insight led creative proposals that help to bring your visions to life. Implement this approach on your wider team for overall best in class opportunitiesfor our suppliers.
  • Ensure that all campaigns and supplier relationships are being managed in line with tiering and internal processes. You will ultimately be responsible forensuring that all planning of campaigns within your category areas are delivered seamlessly.
  • Ownership of your own category, managing supplier brands directly to create co-branded marketing plans that align to their brand objectives but alsoconsider VMG wider brand moments. Ensure commercially viable plans are being created working to budgets and being considerate of net targets.
  • Assist your team in the reporting of campaigns and continual focus on driving positive change in the way that we communicate data and performance ofcampaigns with our stakeholders.
  • Future media development: You’ll develop the vision and roadmap for Digital Media Development at VMG. You will be responsible for the ongoing development of VMG’s first party data engine, e-commerce ad-tech capabilities as well as developments to paid and owned media channels. You will develop these capabilities to meet a broad range of client needs from VMG supplier brands. You will be responsible for identifying media capability developments considering the competitive landscape and client’s needs. You will work with relevant stakeholders including the retailer, technology solution providers, publishers, as well as key stakeholders across the broader SMG business to bring these capabilities to life. You will be responsible for project managing these developments, ensuring they are commercially viable for all parties.

  • 6-12 months experience of coaching and managing a member of your team.
  • Experience working in a marketing role within ideally a retail or tech-based industry.
  • Proactive and comfortable in driving the digital media development agenda across the wider business
  • Capable and proven track record in delivering digital media strategies and technologies
  • Experience with working towards and hitting ambitious commercial targets of +£1m annually.
  • Ability to work confidently with data & financial reporting with experience in Excel.
  • A can-do attitude in all environments with a strong will to succeed.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with multiple stakeholders to deliver best in class client service, at all times
