Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Digital Optimisation Lead, for our region covering the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland for our Water End Market, supporting the growth of our digital service. The Regional Lead will report to the Digital Optimisation Lead for the UK&I.
Guided by client understanding, our digital water team harness our domain, delivery and digital expertise to advise, advance and implement sustainable solutions for tomorrow’s success! Our digital capabilities are based around 3 pillars. The first pillar is digital optimisation, whereby harnessing the power of digital technology and our domain expertise, we can aide our project delivery teams to optimse the delivery of our design deliverables. We can assist with aiding automation of designs, secure storage with automated workflows, and the implementation of AI solutions across project delivery. The second pillar is digital advisory, where the team work with clients to guide them on digital investments, technology selection and gain organisational commitment. Our final offering is digital implementation, where we work with our clients to apply and embed best fit digital technologies for asset optimisation and long-term organisational benefits.
As a Regional Digital Optimisation Lead, you will take a lead role in guiding our internal delivery teams to transform and optimise our engineering deliverables and implementation of digital adoption technology and product development. The main objective, will be to provide comprehensive end-to-end project team support, facilitating the integration of digital solutions into our business operations. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our Client Account Managers and delivery teams. As a key player in executing our digital strategy for optimisation, you will support digital teams, facilitate cross market collaboration and be a champion for adoption

  • Digital adoption across region: identify areas where upskilling and support in project delivery is required to successfully deliver digital methods of working.
  • Project Support: Act as digital lead across multiple projects or framework.
  • Resource Management: Responsible for ensuring suitable resources are identified and allocated to projects.
  • Software Champion: Point of contact within region for technical software queries.
  • Internal stakeholder Presentations: Present at regional water townhalls, updates and successes
  • Digital Strategy: Work with UK & I Delivery Optimisation Lead to plan and develop digital strategies and successfully deliver owned elements of plan

READY TO PUSH THE LIMITS OF WHAT’S POSSIBLE?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Certified Postgraduate or Equivalent Qualification: In Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Project Information Delivery: Experience in delivering project information in accordance to ISO 19650 suite and BIM standards.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience working in and administering a Common Data Environment such as ProjectWise, ACC, or similar
  • Proficient in using Revit and/or Civil 3D, with experience in validating and coordinating models in Navisworks or similar software.
  • Design Automations: Experience (but not essential) of working with teams to identify automation opportunities and develop Minimum Viable Products (MVP) which have scaling potential.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Experience of influencing non-technical executive stakeholders from around the business
  • Mentoring and coaching: Experience in mentoring and coaching technical and non-technical teams
