What you’ll do

  • Complete comprehensive data analysis of our digital product performance and customer behaviour, unlocking insight and communicating this clearly and effectively to the wider Digital team and business to allow data driven decision making.
  • Analyse complex data sets, completing visually compelling reports and compiling actionable insights.
  • Support the Digital Product Owners in the implementation and development of exciting new features.
  • Utilising all available customer data/feedback to help inform future product roadmap decisions and ongoing development. Collaborate with other members of the Digital Team, using all available data to model how new features will improve the experience for our customers and meet our Commercial objectives.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, demos and retrospectives to support the Product Owner in documentation and administrative support as required.
  • Assist the Digital Product Owner with day-to-day backlog management ensuring any questions, concerns and clarification as needed by the team are resolved.
  • Write and iterate user stories and ensure they include relevant acceptance criteria.
  • Support the Digital Product Owner, UX and Insight teams in conducting End-User Research and Customer Journey mapping as needed.
  • Work with other members of the Digital Team to triage opportunities and issues that are recorded by our Customer Care Team and Retail Team to ensure they are managed appropriately.
  • Assist the Digital Product Owner by regularly reviewing feedback given by customers via our digital products, possibly contacting customers for further information.
  • Setting up and participation/facilitation in Workshops to identify and document requirements and issues.
  • Escalation of any potential issues, risks or defects uncovered as appropriate.
  • Support the ongoing implementation of an Agile development methodology across the wider organisation.
  • Work cross functionally with IT and Retail Team to ensure that new/updated products are well supported and embedded.

About you

We are looking for talented individuals with drive, who can ideally demonstrate:

  • A data-led mindset, and passionate about using data to inform decisions and drive the best possible outcomes and experiences for our customers.
  • Comfortable working with different types of data and extracting value from this data.
  • Experience of working with 3rd Party data tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar and Power Bi.
  • Advanced Excel capability.
  • Track record of using data to inform decisions on strategies, and feature development.
  • Degree level qualification in mathematics, data-science or similar or prior experience working in a similar analytical role in a digital or product team, ideally within a major retailer or consumer facing FMCG business.
  • Experience in process/customer journey mapping.
  • A basic understanding of the Agile/SCRUM development lifecycle.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people who have differing levels of digital knowledge and skills.
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders in developing functional and non-functional requirements using techniques such as user stories and use cases.
  • Experience with working with a variety of Agile/SCRUM software tools to manage backlogs, ideally DevOps.
  • Awareness of and passionate about the latest data, digital and technology trends.
  • Thrive working within a dynamic environment and effective when adapting to changing priorities.
  • Have a positive, proactive, hands-on style and would enjoy contributing towards building an adaptive, fun and creative environment for digital in Greggs.

Vacancy Information
We are seeking a Digital Product Data Analyst to support the Digital Product Owner for the Group Websites and other digital products in continuing to develop a deep understanding of product data and help determine and implement exciting new features.
The successful candidate will work as part of a growing Digital Team and cross-functionally as part of an Agile product development team. The role will act as a key day-to-day support to the Digital Product Owner and various development teams, providing deep data analysis and insight of existing features and performance, helping to develop the detail behind new features, and making sure our customers continue to receive an exceptional digital experience.
The Digital Product Data Analyst will work with various internal stakeholders including the Greggs Digital team, IT/Technology, Customer/Marketing, Business Leads and third-party partner agencies to ensure our Greggs digital products enable our customers and colleagues to engage with Greggs in a fast, friendly and frictionless way every day.
We are looking for candidates with a mathematics or data science background, ideally with experience of business or technical analysis who are highly data-literate, organised and who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
