Description:

THE CENTRAL BANK OF IRELAND SERVES THE PUBLIC INTEREST BY SAFEGUARDING MONETARY AND FINANCIAL STABILITY AND BY WORKING TO ENSURE THAT THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM OPERATES IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF CONSUMERS AND THE WIDER ECONOMY.

We currently have a vacancy for a Digital Publishing and Technology Specialist on a Specified Purpose contract for 2 years in the Communications Division. This role is aligned with the Bank Professional 3 grade and the BP3 salary scale, between €61,092 and €81,235 applies. Please click here for further information on our salary scales.
The purpose of this role is to play a lead role in implementing the Central Bank’s digital user experience roadmap, with a particular focus on centralbank.ie and digital technology as an enabler for transformational change.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of specific user experience work streams for centralbank.ie, and play a pivotal role in transforming how the Central Bank uses research, analysis and statistics on centralbank.ie and other digital channels.
  • Research, procure, on-board and embed scalable digital technology solutions that integrate with centralbank.ie to support a transformational digital communications strategy.
  • Develop and implement an approach for ensuring centralbank.ie is compliant with accessibility legislation, and play a lead role in defining content accessibility standards for our digital channels.
  • Manage relationships with external website developers, software providers and IT colleagues to ensure quality of output, value for money and speedy resolution of technical issues.
  • Support development and ongoing implementation of website archiving policy, including development of content inventories and audits, and underlying processes for archiving and retrieving old content.
  • Ensure all content produced and published is legal and in line with relevant legislation and the Central Bank’s corporate brand and style guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification in multimedia, web development or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Very strong technical skills, including SEO, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, accessibility legislation, GDPR/cookies, and Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant product management experience with digital platforms, particularly complex websites, ideally in a busy communications/marketing/digital function in a financial institution, State agency, professional services, media agency, or web content production environment.
  • Experience working cross functionally and with third-party vendors.
  • Experience researching, procuring and embedding new digital technology (e.g. email marketing and site search software) in complex organisations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong knowledge of website user experience principles and best practice, design, information architecture, user personas and data analysis
  • Good organisational, project management and coordinating skills. Proven ability to work under pressure and produce quality work in a timely manner.
  • Strong understanding of a broad range of modern digital technology solutions – including how to on-board and integrate new software with existing digital technology.
  • Some working knowledge and experience of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills
