Description:
As a Digital Support Midwife for Medway NHS Foundation Trust you will utilise your midwifery skills and knowledge to keep birthing people and service users at the centre of digital health and transformation. You will play a crucial role in supporting the digital agenda within the maternity services, assisting and deputising for the Lead Digital Midwife. You will assist with the ongoing enhancements and maintenance of the maternity information system, ensuring high data quality standards, including regular management and analysis of maternity data. You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in planning and implementation of any future maternity information system.
You will be involved in teaching and training, to improve digital skills and capability in the workforce and advocate for the user experience and clinical safety. Your role will involve a variety of digital technologies and processes in maternity, but also some involvement with other digital programmes within the hospital. You will be involved with the development and updates to the maternity social media and the hospital website. This position requires you to work closely and visibly within the multidisciplinary team, offering guidance and support as needed.
You will also deputise in representing the maternity department and the Trust to external agencies such as the LMNS and ICB, acting as a supportive and positive role model. You will be supported to gain initial insight and experience. This role will ensure there is comprehensive representation for the maternity digital agenda by having both lead and support functionality. It offers flexibility and the opportunity to work creatively in a small team as well ason your own initiative
